As You Go (Poem)

I call to you
Can you hear me?
I call through the mist and plead

I beg for you to come to me
But you don't care
It's clear to see

You look at me
With emotionless eyes
Then look away
And wave good-bye

My love for you
Is oh so deep
As I watch you leave
I fall to my knees

You turn around
And say "can't you see -
You deserve so much better than me"

And with that said
You walk away
For there's nothing left
For you to say
